Markham, a Harvard-trained lawyer, is the firm's chief trial attorney for civil litigation of commercial and real property disputes in California. Antonio Maldonado prepares and gives advice on commercial and real property transactions in California, often with the input and collaboration of Mr. Markham. We represent companies and individuals in large and small matters that concern business and real property law in San Diego and elsewhere in California. Mexican Legal Work. The firm likewise handles commercial transactions, real property transactions, and civil litigation in Tijuana and elsewhere in Mexico. The lead attorney for this work is Antonio Maldonado, who holds both a U.S. law degree and a Mexican law degree from one of Mexico's elite law schools. For cross-border transactions and legal disputes that concern both U.S. and Mexican law, there is perhaps no firm better placed than us to perform the work with the highest possible degree of skill and expertise. OUR ATTORNEYS Antonio Maldonado is trained in both U.S. and Mexican law and licensed to practice law in both countries. He performs commercial and real estate transactions on both sides of the border and has special expertise in helping those whose legal concerns straddle both sides of the border. He particularly assists American investors who wish to own businesses and properties in Mexico, as well as Mexican firms who have business operations in the United States. In addition, he has a thorough command of the immigration and nationality laws of both countries and offers comprehensive immigration counseling and advocacy on both sides of the border. He is equally fluent in English and Spanish. William Markham, who received his law degree from Harvard Law School, is an accomplished California trial lawyer who litigates commercial disputes and real estate matters in San Diego and throughout Southern California. He has a long track record of obtaining superb results in very difficult cases. In addition to his trial work, he has expertise in contract law and often gives advice on business contracts and other commercial agreements, and he is the author of several articles on business and real estate law (see Articles). We litigate civil and administrative disputes in California and Mexico for both plaintiffs and defendants in large and small cases. Our principal California trial lawyer is William Markham, who since 1988 has litigated a broad range of commercial and real property disputes, doing so with notable success. He mostly handles real estate and business litigation, doing so for both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide array of large and small matters. In certain cases brought on behalf of plaintiffs, he has obtained some very substantial recoveries, two of which were well into the seven figures. In other cases, in which he has acted for the defense, he has defeated or greatly lessened major claims brought by serious litigants who at first glance appeared to have strong cases. He can personally handle your civil dispute or assemble a team of litigators for larger matters. Mr. Markham is widely regarded by his peers as a first-rate litigator of difficult commercial disputes and real estate controversies. Immigration and Nationality Matters. Our immigration specialist is Antonio Maldonado, who practices before administrative agencies, immigration courts, and consular posts in both the United States and Mexico, and who has expertise in the immigration laws of both countries. Mr. Maldonado regularly obtains immigration visas and permits of every description from the United States Department of Homeland Security (formerly, the Immigration and Naturalization Service). He also provides counseling and guidance on immigration law, and he handles deportation/removal matters as well as other contested immigration matters.
